Columbia Mule Day 2022 NEWS RELEASE

Feb 22, 2022 at 01:01 pm by cindy4dixie

Columbia Mule Day Volunteers express excitment about the upcoming Columbia Mule Day Festivities.

The Mule Day Office Staff and Coordinators may be all Volunteers, but when they answer the phone these days, 'it is like hearing from family', shared Louise Mills.  Everyone who has had any dealings knows "Ms. Louise" by sight and sound.  More than likely she has talked and assisted everyone, at some point and time, who has participated in Columbia Mule Day.

Even though the event is run by volunteers, they are faithfully in the mule day office now from 10AM to 3PM Monday through Friday.  If everyone is on the phone, and they do not get your call immediately, leave a message and you will receive a call back.

A few reminders from Mule Day .....  If you did not request a refund from the previous two years, all one has to do is bring their passes, camping tickets, stall information to check in and you will be good to go.  If you feel better about checking on your reservations, give the office a call and they will confirm your information.    Also, there will not be new catalogs printed this year due to the expense, these are also available online.  As COVID has affected our own personal lives, it has affected the lives of the volunteers; if you cannot reach your usual contact person, call the office.

The parade is going to be OUTSTANDING!  Mandy Mills has been working on the parade making sure everyone is organized, knows the new route, working with the public to ensure all is well.  So make plans to be a part of the 2022 Columbia Mule Day Parade.  Call the office or send in your parade application to be a participant.

Dixie Longears, for one, is joining the Volunteers on being excited about bringing this TRADITION back to life.

Remember, call the Columbia Mule Day Office at 931-381-9557 Monday thru Friday, between the hours of 10AM to 3PM.  If you do not get an answer, they are on the line with someone else so leave a message.  See ya in Columbia!
