Mel's Stables in New Holland PA held their February Sale today.
I am sharing this news second hand, which I usually don't, because everyone is talking about the mule prices being unstable and trying to predict where they are headed.
The sale today continued with the consistency of the January sales of being inconsistent in prices.
Many of the three year old mules stayed in the $4500 to $6000 range. Some of the mules reached up to the $8000 and over but not many.
Prices between $3500 and $6000 were heard many times throughout the sale.
There is a sale set for Indiana Friday of this week. There are not many mules there but we will try to get some information from that sale when it is over.
Wednesday March 4th is the last sale of the year for Jonas King in Quarryville PA. Jonas is expecting thirty colts and another 200 head of mature mules. Several of these will be three years. I will not personally be at this sale but will be able to get updates on the prices.
