Jacob Beiler shared an update on the Tri Co Draft Sale set for December 12, 2025 at 10AM.  The sale is at Midway Auction Barn located at 10927 N US 27, Fountain City, IN 47341.

The Tri Co December Sale has a solid 100 head of stock currently consigned.  They are expecting 60% mule and about 40% horses.  

Even though the focus for this sale is on colts, they have 2 jacks coming.  One is a black 17 year old proven jack that still performs and a young blonde jack.  Owner is Black Jack said do not let the age of him deter one from taking him home. A few of his colts sold at Hoovers Sale in the past couple of years, one of which brought in the $6000 range.

Out of the 60% mules, expect to see about 40 colts with the rest made up of a few teams and a couple of older head of stock.  In touching on the horses, currently they are expecting about a dozen colts, a black 4year old crossbreed horse and a few younger mares (not pulling stock).

The colt sale is a new adventure for this group, but it is a spin-off of a regular February Draft Horse sale set this coming year on February 27, 2026.
