The 2026 January Mule Sale for Mel's Stables is in the books.  Several traders were represented at this sale .... buying and selling.  As in the past, the Partnership of Austin and Young was the heavy consignor.   Mose Hershberger, Kelso Mules, Eli King and John G Stoltzfus, Jr also contributed to the 3 year old mule count.  Kelso Mules offered a little more variety to buyers in consigning a few teams in the 4 year and 5 year old range.  Several colts and local mules were offered for consideration at this sale.  In following with tradition, over 75% of the trader mules were three year old.
