For years, one did not hear Hickory without Harley being mentioned, or vice versa.

Hickory and Harley, Abner Stoltzfus breeding program, have produced some of the nicest, more recognizable mule colts for over a decade.  Hickory and Harley are still very active and their colts will be in the spotlight in a few weeks at the Annual Abner Stoltzfus Colt Sale held at his farm in Quarryville PA.

The Hickory and Harley Duo will continue to be strong adversaries in years to come, due to the stable breeding program Abner Stoltzfus has built.

Another strong Jack Duo will be making their own spotlight this October ..... Leroy and Rockstar.  For the past few years Rockstar has been eazing his way into the spotlight through the John Stoltzfus breeding program.  

John took the time to build Rockstar's reputation by carefully mating him with various mares to determine what worked and what needed work.  The last couple of years, Rockstar has kept himself in the spotlight with some beautiful colts.

The Jack making up Rockstar's Duo is Leroy.  John Stoltzfus chose Leroy nearly a year and half ago due to his confirmation, color, head and ears.  In other words, John seen him as the whole package.

As the colts arrived early in 2026, it became evident Leroy was going to be a strong addition to the John Stoltzfus breeding program.

So, the October colt sales will bring another strong Duo to the sale ring ..... Leroy and Rockstar!
