'Howeller' may not be a familiar name to many right now, as he is coming three years old.

 

Howeller was raised by Howell Farms.  Many know the name Nickie Howell and his association with good jacks.  He successfully passed this tradition on to his children and grandchildren who are now running Howell Farms.  

Another familiar name is the current owner of Howeller, Joe Carter aka 'Bushhog'.  Joe has been raising outstanding riding mules for centuries.  He does not believe in quantity but quality.  This is why many of his colts are spoken for the minute they are born.  

Joe has the reputation of raising outstanding riding mule colts; many with a walking saddle gait.   Some people have the ability to mate colts and they are mated for life.  Joe Carter has the ability to take selected mares and chosen jacks to produce some of the best riding mules found in many show rings and on the trail.
